NASA Exploration Vision “Earth - Moon - Mars and Beyond”. General Jefferson Howell was called away for a meeting in Florida. Captain David C. Leestma Astronaut and Manager of Exploration Programs Office will present "NASA Exploration Vision", and what it means for the future of the Center and the United States Space Program. The National Anthem and God Bless America will be sung by Vocalist Christine Gietzen, during the presetation of colors, and Pastor Brad Heintz of Gloria Dei will deliver the Invocation for the Banquet. Webb Byford will have The "Mars Spirit Rover" on display and NASA-JSC is providing a MARS hands-on activity center for guests to enjoy during the social hour while the cash bar is available. Dress is business casual. Awards will be presented to several individuls who have provided work which exhibits the Mars Society motto of laying a foundation towards the future exploration of Mars. This is through one of several channels real work, scientific research proven or disproven, or exploration and education outreach. Sometimes these are special awards where one crew member is simply looking out for another crewmember. So come and join us while we honor these individuals and take a peek at the future of space exploration. For a Map and location of the Gilruth Center follow the URL: http://gilruth.jsc.nasa.gov/facilities/default.htm Note: Anyone who has a strong adversity to using PayPal or an online credit card please send an email to BeBe Kelly-Serrato at bserrato@marshouston.org to make a reservation.
